Topic: "How My Positive Outlook Benefits My Community"
Compose a 700-800 word essay around this central idea.
This contest is open to participants up to 18 years old as of 12/31/2011
Entries are due to the Optimist Club by February 22, 2012
In addition to developing skills for written expression, participants also have the oppurtunity to win a college scholarship.
Entries that win at the local club level are entered in the distric level and may win a $2,500 scholarship.
2012 Oratorical Contest
Topic: "How My Optimism Helps Me Overcome Obstacles"
Present a speech that must be between 4-5 minutes in length based on the contest topic.
This contest is open to participants up to 18 years old as of 12/31/2011
The date for presentations will be announced soon.
Participants have the oppurtunity to win a college scholarship.
Entries that win at the local club level are entered in the distric level and may win one of two $2,500 scholarships.
